Special distress allowance is also provided in case of any emergency situations.

There are certain things also which are left out and which needs to be properly read by the insurance buyer at the time of taking the policy.

The common scenarios where the claims cannot be accepted are

Pre-existing medical conditions or ailments

Expenses incurred due to any of the following conditions like committing Suicide, Self-inflicted injuries or illnesses, mental disorder, Anxiety, stress or depression, Venereal diseases, Alcohol/drug abuse or any STD diseases like HIV/AIDS.

If there is war or nuclear threat in the country of travel, expenses incurred on behalf of those, won't be covered. So it is kindly advisable to ensure that the place of travel should be safe from war zone.

Any problems faced due to theft or loss of passport when left unattended won't be covered.

In a scenario of loss of checked baggage, no partial loss or damage becomes payable.
